Congratulations to Mr. David Willman, the recipient of the 2009 Family Member of the Year Award. This award, presented by the Office of Parent and Family Affairs, honors and recognizes a parent, guardian, sibling, extended family member or friend whose presence, endeavors, dedication, and care have contributed to the personal development, academic success, and life achievement of his or her student. Nominations were solicited from current undergraduate students and were reviewed by University administrators.

Mr. Willman was nominated for the award by his daughter, Alison, a senior at the University. Willman was presented with the award during the Terp Family Festival on Saturday, October 10, 2009 as part of Family Weekend. Alison received a $500 prize for writing the winning nomination.
